Abstract
Some work has been done to such issues concerning parameter reduction of soft sets. However, up to the present, few documents have focused on parameter value reduction of soft sets. In this paper, we introduce the definition of normal parameter value reduction (NPVR) of soft sets which can overcome the problem of suboptimal choice and added parameter values. More specifically, minimal normal parameter value reduction (MNPVR) is defined as a special case of NPVR and a heuristic algorithm is presented. Finally, an illustrative example is employed to show our contribution.
