Molecular Biology Report's section Extracellular Matrix Biology is devoted to the publication of high-quality original research, review/mini-review articles, brief reports/short communications, leading opinion/opinion as well as method papers, commentaries, and announcements in the broad and emerging area of extracellular matrix (ECM).

Articles in the fields of Molecular and Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Structural Biology, Omics, Bioengineering, Modeling, Immunology, Molecular and Translational Medicine including significant advances in ECM research are welcomed.

Proposals for Review articles and Special Issues in emerging topics of the above-mentioned fields are welcomed and should be sent directly to the Editor of the Collection.

    Nikos Karamanos

    Nikos Karamanos is a Professor of Biochemistry at the University of Patras. He performed research at pre- and postdoctoral levels at Karolinska Institute. His research focuses on extracellular matrix pathobiology, cell signaling, cell functional properties, function translational studies and pharmacological targeting, preclinical evaluation/cytotoxicity and structure biochemical analysis with particular emphasis in the role of proteoglycans, glycosaminoglycans, matrix remodeling enzymes and epigenetics in health and diseases.
