Abstract
Introgression of genetic information from diploid wheat into hexaploid triticale gave wide genetic variability of the spike structure as measured by the number of spikelets per spike, size of spike and number of basal and distal flowers. Some secondarily hexaploid recombinants of triticale with AmAmRR amphiploid rebuild their genetical homozygosity very slowly, as in BC1/F6 generation about 20 percent of lines showed still morphological heterogeneity. The frequency of fertile flowers analyzed in spikes of BC1/F5 generation was high. Some of lines exhibited improved sprouting resistance.
