Zusammenfassung
Kinder und Jugendliche mit chronisch entzündlichen Erkrankungen der Augen sind oft ohne Symptome- dies erschwert oftmals eine frühzeitige Diagnose einer kindlichen Uveitis. Das Screening nach okulärer Beteiligung bei assoziierten Erkrankungen wie JIA ist daher die Grundvoraussetzung für eine frühe Diagnosefindung. Die Prognose einer Uveitis hängt stark vom Zeitpunkt der Diagnose ab, spezifische Leitlinien für die Behandlung dieser Erkrankung, sowie Screening bei manifester JIA sind publiziert und bieten grundsätzlich gute Chancen für das Erzielen einer Remission.
