Uveitis bei Kindern und Jugendlichen mit juveniler idiopathischer Arthritis

Zusammenfassung

Etwa jedes 10. Kind mit juveniler idiopathischer Arthritis weist eine Augenbeteiligung in Form einer oftmals bilateralen anterioren Uveitis auf. Typisch ist ein chronischer asymptomatischer Verlauf mit hoher Komplikationsrate und dem Risiko einer bleibenden Visusminderung. Das Uveitis-Screening sollte unmittelbar nach Erstdiagnose der Gelenkentzündung erfolgen. Der individuelle Verlauf von Uveitis und Arthritis muss in die interdisziplinäre Therapieentscheidung einfließen. Unter frühzeitiger Verwendung von disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs) können die Uveitisinzidenz reduziert und die Langzeitprognose verbessert werden.
