Zusammenfassung
Die Umstellung auf die elfte Revision der Internationalen statistischen Klassifikation der Krankheiten und verwandter Gesundheitsprobleme (ICD-11) bedingt wesentliche Neuerungen für das Kapitel Essstörungen. Durch die Zusammenführung der Fütter- und Essstörungen zu einer übergeordneten Kategorie werden Störungsbilder nach ihrer Psychopathologie gruppiert im Sinne eines Kontinuums psychopathologischer Auffälligkeiten zwischen Kindheit, Adoleszenz und Erwachsenenalter. Des Weiteren finden kulturelle Unterschiede in der klinischen Manifestation von Fütter- und Essstörungen Berücksichtigung. Neu in die Klassifikation aufgenommene Diagnosen sind die Störung mit Vermeidung oder Einschränkung der Nahrungsaufnahme (ARFID) und die Binge-Eating-Störung. Für die Diagnose Anorexia nervosa wurde das Gewichtskriterium neu definiert und die Diagnose „Anorexia Nervosa in Remission mit normalem Körpergewicht“ neu aufgenommen. Das Kriterium der Amenorrhö wurde entfernt, und die Angst vor einer Gewichtszunahme (fat phobia) wird nicht mehr als Sine-qua-non-Kriterium aufgeführt.
Bei der Bulimia nervosa wurde das Kriterium Essanfälle erweitert und das Zeitkriterium verändert, um atypische und entwicklungsabhängige Variationen des klinischen Bildes mit einzuschließen. Die ICD-10-Diagnosen „Atypische Bulimie“ (F50.3), „Essattacken bei anderen psychischen Störungen“ (F50.4) und „Erbrechen bei anderen psychischen Störungen“ (F50.5) fehlen in der ICD-11.
Die Diagnosen Sonstige Essstörungen (F50.8) und Nicht näher bezeichnete Essstörung (F50.9) werden entsprechend überführt in Andere näher bezeichnete Fütter- oder Essstörungen und Nicht näher bezeichnete Fütter- oder Essstörung.
