Zusammenfassung
Immer mehr Unternehmen beschäftigen sich mit Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) und versprechen, ihrer gesellschaftlichen Verantwortung gerecht zu werden. Diese Verantwortung bezieht sich dabei nicht nur auf den internen Organisationsbereich, sondern erstreckt sich auch auf vorgelagerte Wertschöpfungsstufen. Entsprechend stehen Unternehmen vor der Aufgabe, grundlegende Arbeits-, Umwelt- und Sozialstandards in ihren internationalen Lieferketten sicherzustellen. Neben der Ausgestaltung von konkreten Maßnahmen für die Verankerung von CSR bei Lieferanten stellt sich auch die Frage, welche Standards im internationalen Kontext sinnvollerweise anzuwenden sind. Typischerweise tendieren Unternehmen dazu, bei ihren Lieferanten westliche Maßstäbe anzulegen, infolgedessen die Gefahr eines Werteimperialismus droht. Der vorliegende Beitrag adressiert diese Problematik und schlägt die Brücke zur Bedeutung von interkultureller Kompetenz für einen wertschaffenden Umgang mit CSR in Lieferketten.
