Zusammenfassung
Seit längerer Zeit kreist ein unaufhörlicher Hype um das Thema Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Bürger leisten zunehmend Beiträge zu Umwelt und Gesellschaft: Von der penibel durchgeführten Mülltrennung zur Erhaltung unserer Umwelt, dem ehrenamtlichen Engagement für Vereine im sozialen oder ökologischen Bereich, den Spenden für gute Zwecke in der Dritten Welt, der Unterstützung von Demonstrationen gegen die kapitalistische Finanzwelt bis hin zu Shitstorm von tausenden Menschen gegenüber United Airlines oder den Essener Tafeln. Nicht zuletzt deshalb haben Unternehmen das Thema CSR für sich entdeckt und spätestens seit dem Krombacher Regenwald‐Projekt ihren Beitrag für die Gesellschaft in die Markenkommunikation integriert: Ob der Brunnenbau in Äthiopien von Volvic, die Tetanus‐Impfungen für Neugeborene bei Pampers oder die „Conscious“‐Kollektion bei H&M. Darüber hinaus berücksichtigen die Unternehmen vermehrt die Bedürfnisse und Forderungen ihrer verschiedenen Anspruchsgruppen: Ob Kinderbetreuungsplätze für die eigenen Mitarbeiter bei Bosch Siemens Hausgeräte, die Zusammenarbeit von Chiquita mit der Rainforest Alliance für bessere Arbeitsbedingungen und Umweltverträglichkeit innerhalb der eigenen Zuliefererkette oder Apples Weggang vom Zulieferer Foxconn, das seit Jahren in der öffentlichen Kritik wegen schlechter Arbeitsbedingungen und Selbstmorden ihrer Mitarbeiter steht.
Das Ganze ist mehr als die Summe seiner Teile (Aristoteles).
