Zusammenfassung
In den letzten Jahren kommt der Dienstleistungsforschung in der Wissenschaft, aber auch bei Vertretern der Unternehmenspraxis, eine immer steigende Aufmerksamkeit zu. Der Begriff der Dienstleistung konnte bis dato noch nicht eindeutig definiert werden. Vor allem in der Wissenschaft herrschen seit dem von Vargo und Lusch veröffentlichten und renommierten Beitrag „Evolving to a New Dominant Logic for Marketing“ zwei grundsätzlich unterschiedliche Perspektiven vor, wie Dienstleistungen betrachtet werden können. Die sogenannte Goods-Dominant (G-D) Logic beschäftigt sich primär mit Gütern bzw. Produkten materieller (= Sachgüter) sowie immaterieller (= Dienstleistungen) Art. Wobei Dienstleistungen in dieser Perspektive als wertsteigernde Zusätze für physische Güter definiert sind. Dieser Perspektive steht die Service-Dominant (S-D) Logic, also eine servicedominierte Logik gegenüber. Anders als in der G-D Logic, in welcher eine Unterscheidung zwischen Sachgütern und Dienstleistungen stattfindet, stehen in der S-D Logic nicht Güter, sondern Service im Mittelpunkt der Betrachtung. Dieser wird in der S-D Logic als ein Prozess verstanden, in dem etwas Nutzenbringendes für jemand anderen oder mit jemand anderem geschaffen wird. Demzufolge unterscheidet sich auch die Art und Weise der Wertschöpfung je nach eingenommener Perspektive. Somit sollte anfangs jeder Studie entschieden werden, welcher Perspektive gefolgt wird.
