Zusammenfassung
Im westlichen Sprachgebrauch sind Resilienz oder posttraumatisches Wachstum häufig verwendete metaphorische Begriffe für adaptive Reaktionen auf traumatisierende Lebensereignisse. Eine kultursensitive Betrachtung dieser Metaphern erlaubt ein besseres Verständnis für kulturelle Unterschiede. Diskutiert werden die Herausforderungen in Bezug auf die Analyse qualitativer Daten, die Berücksichtigung nicht-sprachlicher Metaphern, die Übersetzung der Metaphern, die unterschiedliche Art des Traumas und der Einfluss spezifischer soziokulturellen Kontexte.
