Zusammenfassung
Narrative Elemente finden sich in verschiedenen Bereichen der Politikwissenschaft und der dazu gehörigen Theoriebildung, von der Ideengeschichte bis zur policy-Analyse. In dieser Abhandlung wird unter Rückgriff auf die klassische Rhetorik gezeigt, dass insbesondere die politische Sprache nicht vom Vorgang des Argumentierens getrennt werden kann, sondern im Kontext konkreter Entscheidungsprozesse und ihrer Beratung steht. Narrative Elemente bearbeiten den zu beratenden Gegenstand auf eine spezifische Weise für die politische Entscheidung vor. Die Narration erzeugt einen Zusammenhang zwischen dem Erzähler, dem Publikum und den Argumenten, was die Zustimmungsfähigkeit der Argumente erzeugt. Am Beispiel der narrativen Konstruktion politischer Kollektivsubjekte werden Aspekte des Vorgangs narrativer Erzeugung von politischer Verbindlichkeit aufgezeigt.
