Zusammenfassung
Paresen sind häufige Symptome intensivmedizinisch relevanter neurologischer Krankheiten und klinisch meist auch dann noch feststellbar, wenn die Kooperationsfähigkeit bei Schwerstkranken gestört bis aufgehoben ist. Sie können durch Läsionen im gesamten Verlauf des motorischen Systems vom Motorkortex bis zum Muskel entstehen, so daß eine topisch richtige Zuordnung eines Paresemusters das weitere diagnostische und differentialdiagnostische Prozedere bestimmen können.
