Zusammenfassung
Die bisher vorliegenden Untersuchungen über die biologischen Funktionen des Mangans vermitteln zwei Haupteindrücke:

1.
Mangan gehört zu den Elementen mit höchstem biologischen Wirkungsgrad und
-
2.
seine physiologischen Aufgaben sowie deren biochemischer Ablauf sind zum großen Teil ungeklärt.
