About the editors
Praveen Kumar Malik is a Professor at the School of Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab, India. He received his Ph.D. with a specialization in wireless communication and antenna design. He has over 40 research papers and three edited/authored books published to his credit. He has guided many students leading to M.E./M.Tech. and guiding students leading to Ph.D. His current interest areas are microstrip antenna design, MIMO, vehicular communication, and IoT. He has been a Guest Editor/Editorial Board Member of many international journals and a Keynote Speaker at many international conferences and invited as a Program Chair, Publications Chair, Publicity Chair, and Session Chair at many international conferences. He has been granted two design patents, and a few are in the pipeline.
He has a Ph.D. degree in microwave engineering from IIT-Bombay (1980). During his doctoral research, he invented the widely-used Linearly Tapered Slotline Antenna (LTSA). He has M.Tech (Microwave and Radar Engineering) degree from IIT-Kharagpur and B.E (Electronics) degree from UVCE, Bangalore University. He received Post-Doctoral Fellowship from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, in 1982, where he made pioneering research contributions to the area of Wideband Distributed Amplifiers. He served as a senior scientist at LRDE, Bangalore (1980-82) and at DRDL, Hyderabad (1974-75).
Dr. Shastry is the author/co-author of over a hundred manuscripts and publications. He holds two US patents on Electronically Tunable Active Duplexers. He has supervised numerous post-graduate and undergraduate student projects over 40 years. He has served as a reviewer for IEEE Transactions and other international journals, international conferences, and books as well as on expert review panels of the National Science Foundation, U.S.A.Bibliographic Information
