After the publication of this article the authors realized that they should have noted the works developed by the project Multi channel XRF for artworks (MUSA). The Ma-XRF instrument shown in Fig. 14 was developed in the framework of the MUSA project funded by the Regione Lazio, Italy (2019–2020). The project was coordinated by INFN (Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare) and involved also CNR (Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche) and the private company ARS MENSURAE of Stefano Ridolfi. The results obtained on the Fornarina from Raphael shown in Fig. 16 are part of the outcome of the MUSA project. References to the project can be found in Refs. [1] and [2].
