Zusammenfassung
Eine „gelungene“ Corporate Identity (CI) ist als zentraler Vermögenswert und zugleich als ein wichtiger strategischer Erfolgsfaktor zu begreifen. Aufbau und Pflege einer CI stellen hohe Anforderungen an die gesamte Unternehmensführung. Damit wird zugleich ein Orientierungsrahmen für eine marketingorientierte Kommunikationspolitik vorgegeben. Ein Erfolg versprechendes CI-Management hat weit über reine Oberflächenkosmetik des Erscheinungsbildes hinauszugehen. Dreh- und Angelpunkt bilden zunächst die kritische Reflektion und ggf. Revision der Unternehmensphilosophie, die dann in eine konsequente Identitätsgestaltung und -vermittlung zu münden haben. Anzusetzen ist dabei sowohl an der Pflege und/oder Veränderung der gesamten Unternehmenskultur als auch an der Aufklärung und ggf. Beeinflussung aller relevanten Stakeholder. Im Folgenden werden (a) ein tragfähiges Verständnis des CI-Begriffes vermittelt, (b) ein geeigneter Bezugsrahmen für ein ganzheitliches CI-Management skizziert und (c) einige ausgewählte Gestaltungsperspektiven im Blick auf eine integrierte Marketingkommunikation aufgezeigt.
