Zusammenfassung

Erreger ist das weltweit verbreitete Protozoon Toxoplasma gondii. Die Seroprävalenz steigt mit dem Lebensalter, abhängig von Lebens- und Umweltbedingungen (Essgewohnheiten). Bei Frauen um 20 Jahre liegt sie in Mitteleuropa bei 30 % und nimmt pro Jahr um knapp 1 % zu.
