is a peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary journal that serves as a forum for innovative efforts to promote policies, interventions, and programs focused on the safety, protection and welfare of children. The journal publishes original scholarly works including empirical research, reviews, commentaries, brief reports, program evaluations and innovations, and book reviews.

The journal is particularly interested in articles that address the complex array of individual and environmental factors that contribute to negative outcomes for children as well as that promote their rights and well-being.
