Abstract
Firstly, it is given an overview of the use of interviews in research on didactic of mathematics; based on research reports, a framework of classification on different forms of interview is developed. Subsequently methodological problems are discussed, the solution of which is demonstrated by the example of interviewing in the Regensburg VIMU project. In a third paragraph, fundamental differences between quantitative and qualitative methods on the one hand, normative and qualitative paradigm on the other hand are discussed. The article pleads for a use of different forms of interview as flexible, imaginative, and creative as possible.
