Abstract
We discuss interference effects between different particles, starting with the pioneering work by Abraham Pais and Oreste Piccioni in 1955 on K L →K S regeneration and\(K^0 - \overline K ^0 \) oscillations. The ramifications of this work include quark mixing and neutrino oscillation phenomena.
