Abstract
Hindrance of Arthropods by trichomes of bean-plants (Phaseolus vulgaris L.)
On the leaves ofPhaseolus vulgaris are hooked, shorter and longer shaped trichomes. On occasion of suitable conditions of arrangement and combination of the trichomes Arthopods become entangled in the aforesaid structures. Above all Aphidid-Imagines, hardly often Aleyrodid-Imagines are caught by these leaves and die prematurely. It is possible to prevent Aphidid-Imagines from parturiation by means of the trichomes so as to reduce their actual fertility on particular beans. But there is hardly no prevention for the larvae of Aphididae and Aleyrodidae as well as for any phase of Tentranychidae. A survey of relevant conditions in the Grazer Feld is given with reference to questions which are still unanswered.
