Abstract
This paper presents theoretical and experimental results describing the propagation of SH (shear, horizontal) surface waves on a piezoelectric ceramic with a surface layer of different polarization than that in the substrate. An analytical formula for the group velocity of the SH surface waves is developed. The velocity of impulses of the SH surface waves is determined experimentally. Further, the theoretical results are compared to the experimental values.
