Zusammenfassung

Kap. 16 behandelt das Lernen in und von Organisationen. Konzepte aus anderen Hochrisikobereichen wie die der „zuverlässigen Organisation“ und der „lernenden Organisation“ könnten auch für die Medizin hilfreich sein, da sie den Denkrahmen für die tägliche Arbeit verändern. Komplexe Organisationen wie Krankenhäuser werden sich aber nicht mit einfachen „Erfolgsrezepten“ und isolierten Maßnahmen verändern lassen. Instrumente wie Incident-Reporting-Systeme und Fallanalysen, Notfalltraining und Skillstraining am Simulator und regelmäßige Teamtrainings sollten integrative Bestandteile übergreifender Konzepte der Organisationsentwicklung sein. Unter den aktuellen ökonomischen Bedingungen ist es wichtiger denn je, dass alle Mitarbeitenden von Krankenhäusern und Rettungsdiensten die Themen Patientensicherheit, Fehlervermeidung und zuverlässiges Handeln auf ihrer persönlichen Agenda haben.
