Zusammenfassung
Nach der Erfindung des Computers wurden zunächst große Erwartungen in seine Fähigkeiten zur Nachahmung des menschlichen Geistes gesetzt, es entstand die Forschungsrichtung Künstliche Intelligenz, die insbesondere mit den Namen Newell, Shaw und Simon verbunden ist. Die ursprüngliche Forschungsrichtung sollte sich — nach Anfangserfolgen — nicht als sehr fruchtbar erweisen, die Komplexität menschlichen Denkens konnte in der Rechenanlage nicht genügend abgebildet werden.
