Zusammenfassung
Historie Bereits im frühen Mittelalter war die Extrauteringravidität (EUG) ein bekanntes und gefürchtetes Krankheitsbild, welches Regnier de Graaf (1641–1673, Namensgeber des Graaf-Follikels) bildlich in einem Kupferstich seines Lehrbuchs der Gynäkologie »De mulierum organis generationi inserventibus« (»Über die der Zeugung dienstbaren Organe der Frauen«) darstellte (Graaf de Regnier 1672). Mit einer Mortalität von 69% war die Extrauteringravidität Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts eine der häufigsten Todesursachen bei jungen Frauen, die erst mit der Einführung der Salpingektomie an Schrecken verlor ( Parry u. Lea 1876). Bereits 1884 konnte Tait bei 38 Patientinnen mit EUG zeigen, dass durch eine Salpingektomie die Mortalitätsrate auf 5% reduziert werden kann (Tait 1884). Dank verbesserter Diagnostik sank die Mortalität und beträgt heute unter 0,01%, bezogen auf alle Schwangerschaften.
