Der Plötzliche Kindstod ist ein jahrtausendelang bekanntes Phänomen, von dem überwiegend Säuglinge im ersten Lebensjahr betroffen sind, die ohne vorherige Krankheitszeichen oder Störungen des Verhaltens tot im Bett aufgefunden werden.
