Social entrepreneurship [ebenso wie social entrepreneurshiporganization im Folgenden mit dem Kürzel SEO bezeichnet] ist eine neue Form sozialer Dienstleistungen, die sich von den herkömmlichen NPOs (non-profit-organizations), vornehmlich der staatlichen und parastaatlichen Wohlfahrtsverbandlichkeit, aber auch von den NGOs (non-governmental organizations) darin unterscheiden, dass sie soziale Dienstleistungen unternehmerisch angehen. Soweit die hier zugrundegelegte Definition.
