Zusammenfassung
Die Kombination der Begriffe “Fernsehen” und “Gewalt” entwickelt einen fast unwiderstehlichen Sog, der das Denken in Richtung auf die Frage zieht, welche negativen Wirkungen Gewaltdarstellungen im Fernsehen haben. Die Thematik ist in der öffentlichen Diskussion so emotional und moralisch durchtränkt, daß wissenschaftliche Versuche, die Fragestellung auszudifferenzieren, Schwierigkeiten haben, Gehör zu finden — letztlich interessiert doch immer nur die Frage, welche schädlichen Wirkungen Gewalt denn nun habe.
