This collection will be based on articles emerging from the 10th Plant Genomics & Gene Editing Congress: USA, Raleigh, NC, USA, 24-25 October 2023 and 9th Plant Genomics & Gene Editing Congress: Asia, Bangkok, Thailand, 29-30 November 2023 both organized by Global Engage.
These congresses will dive deeper into plant genomics and gene editing through a series of case studies and examination of the latest scientific research. It will explore how gene editing technologies, novel breeding techniques, and omics technologies are applied for the development of key crops. The Plant Genomics and Gene Editing collection will select excellent reviews, research papers, Methodology, Brief Reports, and Data Notes presented during these conferences; potential attendances are also welcome to submit their manuscripts on related topics to this special collection even they may not attend these conferences due to certain reasons.
Topics include, but are not limited to:
• CRISPR/Cas genome editing and its application in plant research
• Applications of artificial intelligence and machine learning in plant genomics
• Genomic and bioinformatic strategies to help overcome plant phenotyping challenges
• Genomic research on key crops in Asia
• Regulations associated to gene editing
All accepted papers will go through the regular peer review process, and it will not be guaranteed that your manuscripts will be accepted by Functional & Integrative Genomics if your manuscript does not meet the standard of this journal.
Manuscripts should be formatted according to our submission guidelines and submitted via the online submission system. In the submission system, please select “Plant Genomics and Gene Editing” on the additional information tab. Please also indicate clearly in the covering letter that the manuscript is to be considered for the Special Collection on “Plant Genomics and Gene Editing”.
