Abstract
Two years after having sent her then eight-month-old daughter to Bolivia, Ana cannot help but burst into tears when she talks about it. From time to time, she often passes by Sants Station in Barcelona City, and goes to the exact place where she said goodbye to her daughter for the last time. She stands staring at that place, by way of ritual, as if remembering that sad moment would help recover her strength. Despite her grief, she is satisfied that her decision was the best for her daughter, who is now being taken care of by her grandmother while she works to become financially stable with plans to reunite with her daughter by the time she reaches school age.
