Zusammenfassung

Der routinemäßige Einsatz bildgebender Verfahren bei Patienten mit Rückenbeschwerden wird gemeinhin abgelehnt. Jedoch existieren aktuell konsensbasierte Empfehlungen, die bei bestimmten Symptomen eine Bildgebung anraten. Um einen Überblick über die derzeitigen Handlungsempfehlungen zu geben, werden im Folgenden unter anderem diese zentralen Fragen beantwortet: Wann ist eine Bildgebung sinnvoll? Welche Prozesse sollten einer Bildgebung vorgelagert sein und wann ist eine erneute Bildgebung sinnvoll?
