Zusammenfassung
Unterschiedshypothesen sind in den Sozial- und Sportwissenschaften sehr häufig anzutreffen. Von Interesse ist dabei stets, ob Unterschiede hinsichtlich bestimmter Merkmale zwischen Stichproben rein zufällig aufgetreten oder ob die Stichproben hinsichtlich des untersuchten Merkmals „signifikant unterschiedlich“ sind und somit auch Unterschiede zwischen den Populationen bestehen.
