Zusammenfassung

Das Ziel des Beitrags besteht darin, einen Einblick in die Gestalt und Bedeutung des Handlungsfelds Kampfsport und Kampfkunst zu vermitteln. Nach der Darstellung von Heuristiken zur Strukturierung des Feldes wird dessen gesellschaftliche Relevanz erörtert. Aus der Perspektive von neun wissenschaftlichen Disziplinen werden dann exemplarische Fragestellungen und Erkenntnisse referiert. Den Abschluss bildet eine Einschätzung künftiger Entwicklungen und Trends.
