Zusammenfassung
Antidementiva sind Medikamente zur Behandlung von Demenzerkrankungen, die heutzutage v. a. eine Verlangsamung der Symptomprogression zum Ziel haben. Zur Behandlung der Alzheimer-Demenz sind schweregradabhängig die Acetylcholinesterasehemmer sowie ein NMDA(Glutamat)-Antagonist verfügbar und in kontrollierten Studien positiv evaluiert. Sie wirken auch gegen demenzassoziierte Verhaltensstörungen.
