Zusammenfassung
Design Thinking ist in Bezug auf die formale Hochschulbildung, insbesondere in der akademischen Lehre, ein relativ neuer Ansatz. Design Thinking ist mehr als nur eine Lehrmethode; es ist auch eine Denkweise und ein Werkzeugkasten, um Lösungen für akademische Probleme zu finden. Der nachfolgende Artikel basiert auf praktischen Erfahrungen in verschiedenen akademischen Settings und zeigt auf, warum Design Thinking eine sinnvolle Methode in der akademischen Lehre sein kann. Des Weiteren werden in diesem Artikel verschiedene Anwendungsmöglichkeiten in der Lehre aufgezeigt und die Voraussetzungen erläutert, die für eine effektive Nutzung gegeben sein müssen.
Abstract
Design Thinking is a relatively new approach in regard to formal higher education, especially in academic teaching. Being more than just a teaching method, it is also a mindset and a toolkit to provide solutions to academic problems. The following article is based on practical experiences in different academic settings and illustrates why Design Thinking is a valid option in academic teaching. Furthermore it outlines different possibilities of use in teaching and explores prerequisites that have to be given to be effective.
