Zusammenfassung
Was Autoren wie Botsman und Rogers (2011) als „kollaborativen Konsum“ bezeichnen und in den Medien als „Sharing Economy“ kursiert, ist ein Konzept, das in der Nachhaltigkeitsforschung bereits vor über fünfzehn Jahren unter Begriffen wie „nutzungsorientierte Ökonomie“ (Stahel 1994), „neue Nutzungskonzepte“ (Hirschl et al. 2001), „ökologische Dienstleistungen“ (Behrendt et al. 1999) oder „eigentumsersetzende Dienstleistungen“ (Schrader 2001) ausführlich behandelt worden ist. Was seinerzeit jedoch als Praxisphänomen weitgehend auf Nischen beschränkt war, hat sich jüngst zu einer zweiten Generation des Sharing in Form innovativer Geschäftsmodelle herausgebildet und weiter ausdifferenziert.
