Zusammenfassung
Zunächst werden die ökonomischen Ansätze zum Personalmanagement erörtert. Schon Adam Smith analysierte in seinem 1776 erschienenen Buch über die Ursachen des Wohlstands der Nationen den hohen Produktivitätsanstieg durch Arbeitsteilung und Spezialisierung und stellte damit die Personalarbeit als eines der Kernprobleme der Wirtschafts- und Sozialwissenschaften dar.
