Zusammenfassung
Der Beitrag beschäftigt sich mit der Frage, ob arbeitsmarktbezogene Ungleichheiten unmittelbar vor dem Ruhestand mit subjektiven Belastungen beim Ruhestandsübergang einhergehen. Datengrundlage ist die Studie „Transitions and Old Age Potential“ mit einem Sample aus ca. 1.300 Personen, die eine Altersrente/-pension aus eigener Erwerbstätigkeit erhalten und diese als Haupteinkommensquelle angeben. Die Befunde deuten darauf hin, dass ein niedriger Integrationsgrad am Arbeitsmarkt mit höheren subjektiven Belastungen beim Übergang in den Ruhestand verknüpft ist. Vor dem Hintergrund einer demografiesensiblen Politik werden eine Synchronisation von Ruhestands- und Arbeitsmarktpolitik zur Verringerung prekärer Übergänge in den Ruhestand sowie individuelle Unterstützungsleistungen für die betroffenen Personen diskutiert.
