Zusammenfassung
Als neuartige Form der Arbeitsteilung können externe Akteure durch Crowdsourcing in den Innovationsprozess eingebunden werden. Die Ausgestaltungsmöglichkeiten unterliegen dabei einer Dynamik, die vielfältige Fragestellungen und neuen Forschungsbedarf aufwirft. Ausgehend vom Open-Innovation-Prinzip kommt es damit zunehmend zu einem Paradigmenwechsel weg von der herstellerzentrierten hin zu kundenbezogener und kollaborativer Innovation, die in Anbetracht fallender Kommunikations- und Designkosten immer einfacher und flexibler anwendbar wird. Durch den Einsatz von Crowdsourcing eröffnen sich aber nicht nur Einsparungs-, sondern auch erhebliche Innovationspotenziale. Das wirft freilich verschiedene Fragen auf, die näherer Erforschung bedürfen. Diese betreffen unter anderem den Organisationsprozess der Innovation, die Eignung verschiedener Arten von Innovationsproblemstellungen sowie die Wertgenerierung und den Schutz des intellektuellen Eigentums.
