Zusammenfassung
Die Verbindung von neo-institutionalistischer Organisationsforschung und soziologischer Emotionsforschung bildet einen dynamischen Bereich sozialwissenschaftlicher Forschung. Der Beitrag beleuchtet die Entwicklungen, Potentiale und Probleme, die mit einer neo-institutionalistischen Deutung von Emotionen einhergehen. Dazu gehören „institutional work“, „institutional logics“, Legitimität und Institutionen, die jeweils zu Emotionen in Bezug gesetzt werden. Anschließend erfolgen eine kritische Würdigung und ein Verweis auf organisationssoziologisch relevante Anknüpfungspunkte. Insbesondere wird eine Erweiterung des Scottschen Institutionenmodells vorgeschlagen, welches die emotionale Säule („emotional pillar“) von Institutionen sowie Emotionen als Institutionen integriert.
