Der Begriff ‚Gruppendynamik‘ taucht zuerst bei Moreno & Jennings (1938) und Lewin (1939) auf. Bei Jacob L. Moreno (1892 – 1974) ist dieser Begriff eng in den Kontext der von ihm initiierten Soziometrie eingebunden: Gruppendynamik ist das, was im Rollenspiel (Psychodrama usw.) passiert.
