Zusammenfassung
Manuela Weidekamp-Maicher nimmt in ihrem Beitrag zentrale Fragen der Lebensqualität im Allgemeinen sowie besondere Aspekte der Lebensqualität im Alter in den Blick. Vor dem Hintergrund der zunehmenden Pluralisierung des Lebensqualitätsbegriffes weist sie auf dessen gewachsene Bedeutungsvielfalt hin, die sich sowohl aus unterschiedlichen disziplinären Betrachtungs- und Bearbeitungsweisen als auch verschiedenen Ansprüchen aus der Praxis unterschiedlicher Handlungsfelder ergibt. Dementsprechend liegt ihr Schwerpunkt in der Darstellung ausgewählter theoretischer Ansätze der Lebensqualität in der Soziologie und Psychologie, um auf dieser Grundlage spezifische Modelle und Ergebnisse empirischer Forschung vorzustellen, die für das Verständnis von Lebensqualität im Alter von Relevanz sind. In den Fokus der Betrachtung werden vor allem neue – sowohl deduktiv als auch induktiv abgeleitete – Modelle der Lebensqualität im Alter aufgenommen und in ihrer Bedeutung für sozialraumorientierte Forschung ansatzweise diskutiert.
