Zusammenfassung

Die Inzidenz des Magenkarzinoms ist in den letzten Jahren weltweit deutlich rückläufig. Sie beträgt derzeit für Deutschland 29,8/100 000 Einwohner für das männliche Geschlecht und 13,2/100 000 Einwohner für das weibliche Geschlecht. Im Jahre 1992 sind in Deutschland 12 986 Patienten an einem Magenkarzinom verstorben.
