Zusammenfassung
Ein Team ist eine Mehrzahl von Personen, die über längere Zeit in direktem Kontakt stehen, wobei sich Rollen ausdifferenzieren, gemeinsame Normen und Kohäsion, d. h. ein Wir-Gefühl entwickelt werden. In Unternehmen wird aufgrund der immer komplexeren Probleme sehr viel häufiger Teamarbeit betrieben. Beim Teamdesign sollen wesentliche Merkmale des Teams so gestaltet werden, dass eine möglichst gute Zusammenarbeit gewährleistet wird. Besondere Bedeutung hat dabei die Diversity, d. h. die heterogene Zusammensetzung der Gruppe hinsichtlich verschiedener Merkmale der Demografie, des Know-how, der Werte oder des sozialen Status. Teambuilding oder -entwicklung zielt auf soziale und aufgabenbezogene Prozesse innerhalb bereits bestehender Teams, wobei durch Gruppen- und Einzelgespräche, Workshops, Trainings etc. Barrieren abgebaut, Rollenbilder geklärt und zwischenmenschliche Beziehungen verbessert werden.
