Zusammenfassung
Von einer modernen Familienplanungsmethode wird verlangt, dass sie die Anwenderin je nach der zugrunde liegenden Intention, d. h. nach der persönlichen Lebensplanung, unterstützt. Sie muss eine sichere Verhütung gewährleisten, wenn eine Frau im Moment nicht schwanger werden will; sie muss helfen können, zu einem gewünschten Zeitpunkt schwanger zu werden; sie muss gewährleisten, dass die Gesundheit und das Wohlbefinden durch ihre Anwendung nicht beeinträchtigt wird.
