Verantwortung für Wirtschaft, Umwelt und Gesellschaft zu tragen, mit der Zielsetzung, Nachhaltigkeit zu bewirken und Vertrauen der Anspruchsgruppen aufzubauen, ist zum zentralen Unternehmenswert von Unternehmen aller Größenordnungen geworden. Gesellschaftliche Verantwortung beruht zu einem großen Teil auf dem persönlichen Selbstverständnis von Unternehmern und den Wertesystemen von Unternehmen.
