Zusammenfassung
Die Situationsanalyse stellt eine zentrale Methode des »Cognitive Behavioral Analysis System of Psychotherapy« (CBASP - McCullough, 2006) dar. CBASP ist ein Verfahren zur Behandlung chronisch verlaufender (unipolarer) Depressionen. Diesem Ansatz nach sind die Betroffenen durch eine besondere Art des Denkens, Fühlens und Verhaltens gekennzeichnet. Sie empfinden starke Hilflosigkeit in sozialen Situationen, fühlen sich hoffnungslos und sehen die Welt eher negativ. Perzeptuell von der sozialen Umwelt abgekoppelt, fokussieren sie ihre Wahrnehmung auf sich selbst, verstehen das Verhalten anderer Menschen wenig, nehmen Reaktionen anderer kaum wahr und sehen die Zusammenhänge zwischen ihrem eigenen Verhalten und Reaktionen aus der Umwelt eher nicht. In der Folge verhalten sie sich in sozialen Situationen wenig zielgerichtet, erreichen interpersonale Ziele kaum, fühlen sich ineffektiv und hilflos und werden womöglich noch stärker depressiv.
