Zusammenfassung
Die Situationsanalyse ist eine zentrale Methode des Cognitive Behavioral Analysis System of Psychotherapy (CBASP; McCullough 2006). CBASP ist ein Verfahren zur Behandlung chronisch verlaufender (unipolarer) Depressionen. Diesem Ansatz nach fühlen sich die Betroffenen hilflos in sozialen Situationen und hoffnungslos. Sie verhalten sich in sozialen Situationen wenig effektiv, was die Depression verstärkt. Die Situationsanalyse soll dazu beitragen, die empfundene Hilflosigkeit und die Ineffektivität in sozialen Situationen zu reduzieren. Dies soll erreicht werden, indem depressiv Erkrankte sich am Beispiel einer problematischen sozialen Interaktion Denk- und Verhaltensweisen erarbeiten, die das Erlangen eigener Ziele in dieser Situation wahrscheinlicher gemacht hätten. Solche Situationsanalysen und die Umsetzung des neuen Denkens und Verhaltens in zukünftigen sozialen Situationen führen allmählich zu funktionaleren Schemata.
