Abstract
The evaluation of F L stated in Sect. 19.4 required laboratory tests on undisturbed soil specimens of loose sand. Undisturbed sampling of loose sand under the ground water table is not an easy job. The quality of samples might be poor unless an experienced engineer is engaged.
