Zusammenfassung
Als ein wesentlicher Erfolgsfaktor für Weiterbildungsmaßnahmen gilt die inhaltliche und didaktische Kompetenz der Lehrpersonen, die neben Expertise im jeweiligen Inhaltsbereich zahlreiche Kompetenzen im Umgang mit erwachsenen Lernenden und der Wahl geeigneter Methoden aufweisen müssen. Zur Didaktik in der Weiterbildung oder allgemeiner der Erwachsenenbildung existieren inzwischen einige Lehrbücher (vgl. z.B. Döring/Ziep 1989; Siebert 2003), aber vor allen Dingen auch eine schier unüberblickbare Zahl an Praxisratgebern, die Lehrenden Tipps zur Durchführung entsprechender Veranstaltungen geben. Die Effektivität dieser Ratgeber bezüglich eines verbesserten Wissens- und Kompetenzerwerbs auf Seiten der Lernenden ist allerdings kaum wissenschaftlich untersucht und somit oft zumindest fragwürdig. Hinzu kommt, dass in entsprechenden Ratgebern häufig den neuen Technologien ein erhebliches Potenzial zur Verbesserung von Bildungsprozessen in der Weiterbildung zugeschrieben wird. Die Hoffnung, dass der Einsatz neuer Technologien per se zu einer Verbesserung der Weiterbildungspraxis führen könnte, hat sich in der Vergangenheit allerdings mehrfach als trügerisch erwiesen.
